Things are strange right now
I never really though that I’d pass out and have a seizure. Well, especially not on tuesday while finally getting my eyes checked by Dr. Kimpton. But I did, and to Doc K’s credit, I hear he was amazing when it happened. You can read more about it here: I collapsed at the eye doctor’s office
The real strangeness has been since. I honestly don’t know what to think. The ER docs and my GP say I’m in good health, and in their quick tests, I’m fine. But I have an EEG and an MRI set for early next week—though my follow up doctor visit is over a week later, so who knows if I’ll walk away from the electrodes and magnets with a clearer picture of what the hell happened to my brain.
Right now, I’m moving slow. I’m sore in all the important muscles. My tongue is a wreck, having been chomped on when I seized. Speaking and eating are both painful challenges. And I can’t drive, on doctor’s orders. Basically, sounds like the makings of a long, curled up bed session. Alas, one day off and I’m back at work, creating a health product for people like me, who don’t really know what to expect. Well, except we’re still new and I certainly haven’t come across people with the same issues, which is all the more frustrating.
I just want to feel normal again.
