The story of “the” banana is fascinating, even without getting into the fundy christian argument that bananas prove god exists. Amazing to me that no one really talks about how the previous “the” banana was wiped out, but no doubt people will freak out when the Cavendish is wiped out. Perhaps it will be lauded as a sign of the apocalypse, or at very least will be a Twitter trending topic…
